What's an Update

One of the joys of this project is immediate contact with the orphanage that gives a face to our charity, but also is a means of accountability for them to you. Updates are emailed to anyone who has donated or expressed an interest in the Children of Ubumi. They are then posted on the website.

We at Children of Ubumi want you to know about the children you serve and the good that your contribution does. We also want you to know that these updates are ABSOLUTELY NOT INTENDED AS FUNDRAISING APPEALS. We trust that you will give as you are moved and as you are able. We know you have many obligations and other charities here at home, and never do we want to detract from them or afflict you with “donor fatigue.” We, and the children, are deeply grateful for your interest, your prayers, and when the occasion merits, for your gifts.

We hope you enjoy these updates. If they should be a burden to you, or you no longer wish to receive them; simply let us know by phone or mail and we will remove your name from our list. On the other hand, if you know of someone who would be interested in receiving them, give us their information and we will gladly put them on our list. Your name and contact information is never given out.
